As part of our mission to elevate the wedding industry service level and provide a platform for consumers to identify excellent service providers in Hong Kong, ESDlife has established the Quality Wedding Merchant Scheme (QWMS).

Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) has been appointed as an exclusive third party assessor to conduct assessment for any application of the QWMS. The QWMS is a certification scheme under which merchants who have fulfilled a prescribed set of criteria based on the assessment of HKPC assessors will be qualified as Quality Wedding Merchants (QWM)

QWM are entitled to display the QWMS decal where appropriate as an affirmation of their qualification and their commitment to provide consumers with quality wedding services.

The objectives of the QWMS, the first ever quality programme for wedding services in Hong Kong are to:

• offer recognition to quality merchants in the wedding service industry;
• provide merchants with a set of quality standards for self-appraisal, and identify areas of improvement to achieve even higher standards;
• identify qualified wedding service merchants to give marrying couples assistance and recommendations;
• enhance the quality of wedding services in the Greater China region in order to recommend quality wedding services to marrying couples.
